Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Capitol View seeks a hands-on Chief Engineer to own the property’s physical plant, lead a strong engineering team, and protect the hotel’s assets.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, life-safety systems, capital planning, vendor relationships, regulatory compliance, and expense management while partnering with hotel leadership to support guest satisfaction and long-term asset performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hotel engineering or facilities teams.
• Hands-on understanding of building systems and life-safety requirements.
• Ability to manage preventive maintenance programs and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Own the property's physical plant and oversee building systems.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Drive preventive maintenance and address recurring issues before guest impact.
• Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems and coordinate contractors.
• Support capital planning, project bids, purchasing, and vendor negotiations.
• Lead safety and regulatory compliance, inspections, and documentation.
• Control operating costs, utilities, and capital expenditures while improving efficiency.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to sustain guest satisfaction and asset performance.
