Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to assist in overseeing hotel facilities and engineering operations. The role includes budgeting, forecasting expenses, and ensuring staff are trained in internal control procedures.

The position requires hands‑on leadership, 3–5 years of HVAC/system experience, refrigeration certification, and strong communication skills to support guest service and safety standards at a premier hotel.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak fluent English.
• Hotel/institutional HVAC systems experience 3–5 years.
• Refrigeration, HVAC certification.
• 2–4 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, life safety systems and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing hotel facility operations and engineering functions.
• Manage department budget, forecast expenses and labor.
• Ensure staff training in control procedures per Internal Audit.
• Develop and supervise staff to deliver consistent customer service.
• Maintain a hands‑on leadership approach at all times.
