Crestline Hotels & Resorts seeks a Chief Engineer at the Courtyard by Marriott to lead the Engineering team, manage preventive maintenance programs, and oversee safety, security, and asset protection for the property in Allentown. The role emphasizes vendor oversight, budgeting, and ensuring brand standards across all systems.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of maintenance experience, hospitality exposure, and knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Current pool certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Hospitality experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheet manipulation, and Office apps.
• Knowledge of building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Must possess or obtain a Certified Pool Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering team including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Oversee safe operation of building, grounds, and all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems.
• Ensure projects and routine maintenance are completed on time per brand standards and codes.
• Present cost-effective proposals for maintaining or repairing systems.
• Handle guest-related maintenance requests and preventive work orders as needed.
• Schedule work to minimize guest disruption while following preventive maintenance plans.
• Ensure Life Safety equipment is inspected, tested, and compliant with codes and standards.
• Assess critical situations and coordinate immediate responses.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and work order programs using electronic systems.
• Organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals per SDS.
