Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott in Lincoln, NE seeks a Hotel Chief Engineer to lead daily maintenance operations across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipment. You will manage staff, oversee budgeting, and ensure guest safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in engineering/maintenance leadership in hospitality, strong problem solving, and excellent communication with guests and colleagues. On-site role with shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years of engineering/general maintenance duties; supervisory experience a plus.
• Licenses or Certificates: Technical certifications in electrical, plumbing or related fields are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of maintenance associates as needed.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a professional manner.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle escalations.
• Train, mentor and supervise colleagues.
• Maintain and monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems.
• Manage maintenance budget and records.
