Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a friendly bartender to welcome guests, prepare drinks to high standards, and support food service with the team. You’ll manage bar setup, inventory, and responsible alcohol service while delivering memorable guest experiences.

The role requires stamina, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hotel environment. Brand ambassador responsibilities and safety procedures are included.

Qualifications

• Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day with bending and kneeling.
• Strength – you’ll lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Literacy – solid reading, writing and basic maths.
• Flexibility – ability to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Experienced – ability to prepare a wide range of drinks, formal bartending training preferred.
• Compliant – knowledge of local food and alcohol laws, at least legal age.
• Articulate – warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Create and serve drinks to high standards and highlight promotions.
• Work with restaurant colleagues for seamless food service.
• Set up bar, stock supplies and ensure equipment works.
• Maintain clean, secure bar and responsible alcohol handling.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Be ready to take on ad-hoc duties as needed.
