Job summary

Five Rivers Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to collaborate with the General Manager on daily hotel operations and to assume GM responsibilities in their absence.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of management experience in hospitality, strong customer service orientation, and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. This role reports to the GM and focuses on profitability, guest satisfaction, and staff development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry required.
• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service.
• Previous experience managing a team is required; preferably in a hospitality role such as department manager.
• A high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in hospitality management or a related field.
• Showcase exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommend improvements that will improve the hotel profitability by analyzing department performance and identifying problem areas.
• Consult with the general manager to ensure that all guest service standards are met daily.
• Create the yearly hotel budget in collaboration with the general manager and department heads, and assess and adjust performance throughout the year to stay profitable.
• Empower the human resources department to increase efforts for turnover management, employee motivation, and employee growth and retention by providing support.
• Verify that all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as any business or brand-specific policies and procedures, are followed.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced assistant general manager with solid leadership abilities who can grow with us. This position is responsible for managing employees and ensuring our guests have a 5-star experience with our services. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service while also maintaining the hotel's budget and quality standards. You must have 3 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, and a bachelor's degree in hospitality management is strongly preferred.

Compensation: $22 Per hour
