Job summary

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager and help develop the team to maintain high service standards.

You'll oversee daily operations, coordinate guest services, manage housekeeping and front desk activities, and collaborate with the GM on staff training, scheduling, and vendor relations to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth property performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back-of-house operations.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work a changing schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide staff; attend and lead staff huddles; provide hands-on support.
• Post checks in PMS; complete weekly labor tracker; manage payment due reports.
• Maintain high guest service standards and address guest concerns; monitor feedback.
• Assist housekeeping; inspect rooms; coordinate room assignments.
• Manage inventory; build relationships with vendors and guests; ensure teamwork.
• Lead in-house sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
• Cover shifts as needed to ensure operational continuity.
• Know and follow property emergency procedures; ensure security for guests and property.
• Other duties as assigned.
