Wyndham Garden Baronne Plaza in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager to drive hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and employee development.

The AGM will lead daily operations, supervise department heads, attend monthly financial reviews, and ensure adherence to Expotel standards while fostering a warm, guest‑centric team environment.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in hotel or related field, or 4-year degree with related experience.
• Ability to manage guests and employees in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Regular attendance and compliance with standards; participate in meetings and training.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code.
• Adhere to company policies and training programs.
• Develop managers through competency training and corporate-sponsored programs.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager to drive profitability through revenue generation and cost control.
• Lead guest satisfaction initiatives and employee development.
• Tour operating departments daily and adjust via department heads.
• Attend monthly financial reviews with department managers.
• Ensure budgeted productivity and standard accounting procedures.
• Contribute to training programs and weekly staff meetings.
