Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to partner with the GM to oversee day-to-day hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and lead hourly staff with scheduling, training and supervision.

The AGM will ensure safety, promote revenue growth, manage onboarding, and uphold ESA standards, while acting as manager on duty when needed and coordinating with guests and associates across the property.

Qualifications

• Solid English reading/writing/verbal skills for guest/associate/vendor communication.
• Ability to operate the property management system and audit shift reports.
• Supervisory experience overseeing 8–15 hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM/MUGM in managing day-to-day hotel operations.
• Lead hourly staff including scheduling, training, and supervision.
• Ensure safety and security procedures per company guidelines.
• Drive revenue growth and control costs at the property level.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and escalate when needed.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates.
