Job summary

General Parts Group is looking for a Commercial Hot Side Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gas, electric, and steam equipment in commercial kitchens. The role offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus for experienced candidates and an hourly rate from $35.00 to $50.00, based on experience, with a 40-hour workweek and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Two years of relevant experience, education, or military preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electronics, steam, gas, refrigeration.
• EPA refrigeration certification is required for technicians; CFESA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen equipment using gas, electric, and steam (grills, ovens, freezers, etc.).
• Keeps customer and branch office updated on repair status and part requests.
• Completes ongoing technical training/certification.
• Follows safety policies and maintains vehicle, tools, and uniforms.
• Manages truck inventory and on-call 40-hour schedule, with nights/weekends as needed.
