Job summary

General Parts Group is seeking a Commercial Hot Side Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment across gas, electric and steam systems. You will service grills, ovens and freezers while maintaining safety standards and updating customers on repair progress.

The role offers a competitive compensation package with a company vehicle, benefits, and training opportunities, including CFESA certification. On-call nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Two years of relevant experience, education, or military experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude across gas, electric, steam and refrigeration.
• EPA refrigeration certification required for technicians.
• CFESA certification is a plus but not required.
• Safety-conscious with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment using gas, electric and steam (grills, ovens, freezers, etc.).
• Update customer and branch on repair status and part requests to meet expectations.
• Complete ongoing technical and manufacturing training/certification.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Manage truck inventory and keep service vehicle/tools/uniforms in Heritage standards.
• Commit to 40-hour weekly schedule and on-call nights/weekends as required.
