Job summary

Great Lakes Service is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Service Technician (hot side) to repair and maintain commercial cooking equipment across Illinois, Indiana, and nearby areas. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction on every visit.

The role offers a strong hourly rate with overtime, a company vehicle, comprehensive benefits, PTO, a 401k with match, and ongoing training. Weekend/on-call work may be required, with a standard 7:30 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in commercial kitchen repair or equivalent military technical roles.
• Electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills required.
• Excellent customer communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Provide outstanding customer service on each service call.
• Complete service calls promptly and accurately.
• Identify new customers and opportunities within existing accounts.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call schedules.
• Maintain service vehicle and order necessary parts.
