Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver in Lebanon, TN. The role focuses on safely positioning trailers, coordinating with the yard and Operations Management, and maintaining DOT compliance.

Starting pay begins at $25.00 per hour, increasing to $31.00 per hour after September 12, 2026, with a Sunday–Wednesday shift from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. OnTrac offers a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably with trailers.
• Must complete pre-employment screenings and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT standards.
• Position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor.
• Switch trailers during daily sort and hook up for line hauls.

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver !

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Pay: Your base rate of pay will be $25.00 per hour until September 11, 2026. Effective September 12, 2026, your base rate of pay will be $31.00 per hour.

Shift: Sunday through Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery

Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks

Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening

Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

The Responsibilities:

Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program

Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards

Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor

Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility

Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
