Job summary

OnTrac in Salt Lake City is hiring a Warehouse Hostler/Yard Driver. The role involves safely moving trailers on and off the dock and coordinating with the yard team to support daily operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of driving experience with trailers, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings. The shift runs Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with overtime potential and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a clean driving record and valid ID
• Must provide a 5- to 10-year MVR

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver !

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Pay:$24.00 per hour

Shift: Sunday - Thursday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

The Must-Haves:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery

Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks

Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening

Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

The Responsibilities:

Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program

Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards

Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor

Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility

Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
