Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver in Lockbourne, OH. You will safely position and maneuver trailers to and from the dock, coordinating closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

The role is based at 1260 Collings Dr., with a pay of $26.00 per hour and a Thursday–Saturday night shift 3:00 PM–3:00 AM. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, life and disability coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, and an employee assistance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery.
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and pass a TSA screening.
• Must provide a 5- to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
• Pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards.
• Position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor.
• Switch trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility.
• Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management.

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver!

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Shift: Thursday - Saturday from 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM. Hours subject to change depending on the needs of the business.
