Job summary

OnTrac in Reno, NV is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to safely position and maneuver trailers at the dock. You will work with the yard team and operations management, with a schedule Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–6:00 PM.

Pay starts at $26.50 per hour, with a $1.00/hour weekend differential. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
• Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
• Must pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program
• Pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards
• Position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor
• Switch trailers during the daily sort and hook up sets for line hauls
• Communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
• Contribute to efficient yard operations and safety initiatives

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver !

OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Location Details: 9715 N. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89506
Pay: $26.50 per hour, plus a $1.00/hour weekend differential incentive
Shift: Monday - Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

The Must-Haves:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery

Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks

Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening

Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

The Responsibilities:

Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor

Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility
