Job summary

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver in Lockbourne, OH to safely position and maneuver trailers at the dock. You will work with the yard team and Operations Management on a Thursday-Saturday night schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of driving experience with trailers, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, TSA, and provide a valid MVR. OnTrac offers competitive benefits and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
• Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening
• Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year MVR

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program
• Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards
• Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor
• Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility
• Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver! OnTrac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management.

Location: 1260 London Groveport Rd., Lockbourne, OH 43137

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Shift: Thursday - Saturday 3:00PM- 3:00AM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
