Position Overview

Main Street Grill is currently seeking a Host / Support Person to join our team. This position is the first point of contact for our guests, so the successful applicant will be personable, professional, and provide excellent customer service. The Host/Support is responsible for greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, escorting customers to their tables, and ensuring our guests have a positive experience during their visit. Other duties will include learning multiple support positions, such as bussing, server help, to‑gos, running orders, and others as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Answer phones, take messages, and book and manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned areas
• Provide menus and announce server's name
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
• Assist service staff as needed
• Learn a variety of support positions to aid service staff
• Any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements
