Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage reservations and seating, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth dining flow.

You will escort guests to tables, answer phones, and maintain the host stand. A high school diploma and previous hospitality experience are preferred; professionalism and excellent communication are essential in this fast-paced city setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Customer service experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating charts to maximize service flow.
• Escort guests to tables and communicate server sections effectively.
• Answer phones, take messages, and provide basic restaurant information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Assist with menus, to-go orders, and guest requests as needed.
• Monitor dining room activity and communicate with servers and management.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and service procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
