Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hospitality-focused host/guest services associate to manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure a warm dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

You will handle OpenTable reservations, assist with seating, and support staff to keep service smooth. The role emphasizes friendly, proactive guest interaction and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Full-service restaurant experience is helpful, but not required.
• Must be 18 years old due to service of alcohol.
• Ability to create a hospitable environment for guests and staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedicated to learning our menu and operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
• Capable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations and wait lists to set guest expectations.
• Monitor the restaurant's reservation system using Open Table.
• Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guest inquiries.
• Greet and seat guests at their table providing hospitality.
• Assist guests in making reservations.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
• Assist with parking validation.
• Provide directions and recommendations if guests inquire.
• Support the service staff by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters.
• Set up dining areas to prepare for large parties and brunch buffet.
• Perform duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, tidying up server station, taking out trash, and bathroom checks.
• Be punctual and observe regular attendance.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
• Other important tasks to keep guest operations humming.

• Answer the restaurant phone and provide friendly service for all guest and call center inquiries
• Greet and seat guests at their table providing exceptional hospitality
• Assist guests in making reservations
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner
• Assist with parking validation
• Provide directions and recommendations if guests inquire
• Support the service staff by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters and taking them to the dishwasher
• Set up dining areas to prepare for large parties and brunch buffet
• Perform duties, such as sweeping, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, and checking the bathroom(s)
• Are punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Other important tasks, as assigned, that keep all our guest operations humming
