Job summary

Grand Island Casino Resort in Grand Island, Nebraska, is seeking team members for a guest-focused role in our casino and dining operations.

You will greet patrons, manage seating, ring up sales, assist wait staff, answer phones, and help ensure an enjoyable and compliant environment while maintaining a clean, efficient work area and cooperating across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest service.
• Must hold a valid gaming license per Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales and handle correct change; assist in month-end inventory and daily bank drops.
• Answer phone, greet customers, manage seating availability in restaurant, assist wait staff.
• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, helpful, courteous, timely manner; recommend food and provide event information.
• Provide exceptional friendly, helpful guest service.
• Keep work area clean and orderly including moving tables and chairs, clearing tables, dusting, mopping, sweeping, etc.
• Support compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements and with other departments.

Greets guests with a positive and friendly attitude. Assures patrons are seated in a timely manner and assuring that guests have a favorable dining experience.

Essential Functions

• Ring up sales and give correct change. Assist in month-end inventory. Responsible for daily bank drops.
• Answer phone, greet customers, keep track of seating availability in restaurant, and assist wait staff when needed.
• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, helpful, courteous, and timely manner. Recommend food choices and provide information on property events.
• Provide exceptional friendly, helpful, and courteous guest service.
• Keep work area clean and orderly including moving tables and chairs, clearing tables, dusting, mopping, sweeping, etc.
• Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
• Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
• Supports current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
• Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.
• Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.

Required

• Must hold a valid gaming license in accordance with the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission.
• Must complete all company-required training within designated time frames.
