Lore Group invites applications for guest services at Riggs Washington DC, a historic hotel at Penn Quarter. You will host warmly, handle reservations, and help craft memorable experiences in a vibrant European-inspired setting with Café Riggs and Silver Lyan.

Strong communication, teamwork, and eagerness to learn are valued. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, with growth opportunities within Lore Group in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience not required; welcoming personality required.
• Minimum one year restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations.
• Poise, elegance and calm demeanor.
• Exceptional organizational skills.

Job description

Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan - a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.

Core Essential Functions

• Assist with floor management, hosting, and guest outreach

• Welcome guests in a warm, personable, sincere, and friendly manner.

• Provide and create positive environment for everyone in the restaurant.

• Receive calls and book reservations for the guest.

• Obtain guest’s information in preparation for their reservation and arrival.

• Anticipate guest’s needs, and create personal and memorable experience and solution

• Perform all other duties as requested by the restaurant manager.

This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities

• Hotel Experience is not required – Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST
