Job summary

Flying Biscuit Cafe is hiring a Host to warmly greet guests, seat them promptly, and manage the dining room flow at our Wake Forest location. You will convey daily specials, support guests with ordering, and help maintain a welcoming, clean dining environment.

Responsibilities include upholding service standards, assisting with opening/closing duties, and collaborating across front- and back-of-house teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Physical stamina for long shifts (minimum 6 hours).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and learn quickly.
• Willingness to train others as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests following protocols.
• Maintain a timely restaurant wait list.
• Communicate features and promotions to guests.
• Deliver food to tables and support FOH operations.
• Keep dining areas clean and sanitized; restrooms included.
• Assist with taking orders and processing to-go payments when needed.
• Support opening and closing duties and communicate needs to managers.
• Collaborate with FOH/BOH teams for smooth service.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and seat guests, following first-time guest protocols
• Maintain a timely restaurant wait list
• Communicate features and promotions to guests
• Deliver food to tables
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining room, and restrooms
• Assist in taking orders and processing to-go guest payments when needed
• Perform daily opening and closing duties
• Communicate restaurant operational needs to managers
• Maintain a helpful and productive working relationship with the DMO
• Participate in and maintain positive relationships across FOH and BOH teams
• Participate in ongoing restaurant training and scheduled events
