Job summary

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Vernon Hills, IL is hiring a part-time host to welcome guests and manage seating. Base pay is $9.00 per hour plus tips, with typical total earnings around $22 to $25 per hour including tips.

Flexible schedules with 30+ hours per week are available. Responsibilities include reservations, greeting and seating guests, directing servers to tables, answering phones, and maintaining the host stand during opening/closing shifts.

Qualifications

• Guest service experience preferred.
• Ability to manage reservations and seating.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the guest dining experience is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant.
• Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and thanking guests as they depart.
• Assigning all necessary tables pre-shift and providing servers with chits.
• Answering phones throughout the shift and directing calls to appropriate personnel.
• Pulling out chairs, seating guests, and presenting menus.
• Opening and closing host stand duties: cleaning, stocking, and setting up for the next shift.

TheHostposition is about:

• Ensuring the guest dining experience, as a whole, is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant.
