Job summary

Hotel Oceana Santa Monica invites a courteous Host to welcome guests with warmth and efficiency. You will seat guests, manage waiting lists, and assist with reservations to ensure a seamless dining experience.

As a front-line ambassador, you’ll provide accurate wait times, answer phones, and help maintain a polished dining environment consistent with our upscale hotel standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to work a full-time hospitality schedule including weekends and holidays.

Hosts are the first point of contact, warmly welcoming guests as they arrive and seating them at appropriate tables. Your organizational, time management and customer management skills will help you keep the dining room and food service organized and professional, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.Your friendly, efficient, and high-touch approach is perfect for engaging guests and team members.
