Food Runner – Hotel Oceana

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the team as a Food Runner at the #1 Hotel in Los Angeles, Oceana in Santa Monica, CA.

We are committed to providing exceptional service and unforgettable experiences for discerning travelers worldwide.

Responsibilities

Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables or rooms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency to enhance guest satisfaction.

Work collaboratively with front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams to maintain a high‑quality service program.

Address guest concerns and, when necessary, appropriately elevate complaints while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

No prior experience required; some experience in a fine dining environment is helpful.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Friendly, efficient, high‑touch approach to engaging guests and team members.

Schedule and Requirements

Full‑time hospitality schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Conform to hotel dress and grooming standards, including dress code, no visible tattoos while wearing uniform, no unnatural hair colors, one pair of earrings, and neatly groomed facial hair.

Accrue 40 hours of vacation during the first year and up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year.

Eligible employees receive holiday pay (if working) or paid holidays (if scheduled off) for six annual holidays.

• To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must have completed 90 days of employment and worked the last scheduled day before and the first day after the holiday.
