Job summary

Strap Tank in Utah is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, manage reservations, and keep the host stand organized for a smooth dining experience. Responsibilities include escorting guests to tables, providing menus, coordinating with servers and kitchen staff, answering calls, and maintaining a clean, safe entry area.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a host or customer service role is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right individual!
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A friendly and professional demeanor, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. On-call is a plus!
• A passion for hospitality and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and promptly, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
• Monitor the flow of the dining area to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
• Answer phone calls, assist with inquiries, and take reservations as needed.
• Keep the host stand and entry area clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, following health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations.
