Job summary

VERDAD True Modern Mexican in Austin, TX is seeking an on-site Host to ensure a welcoming guest experience. You will manage reservations, greet and seat guests, and thank guests as they depart, while coordinating with servers and directing calls during shifts.

The role includes standard opening/closing duties such as setting up the host stand, stocking, cleaning, and providing menus. This is a part-time, on-site position in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the guest dining experience, as a whole, is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant.
• Responsible for taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and thanking guests as they depart.
• Assign all necessary tables pre-shift and provide servers with appropriate chits.
• Answer phones throughout the shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel as necessary.
• Pull out chairs, seat guests, provide menus once seated.
• Additional opening and closing side work-related job duties: cleaning, stocking, setting up host stand for next shift.
