Job summary

Baltimore Country Club in Baltimore, MD is hiring a full-time Staff Accountant to support the Business Office with high-volume accounts receivable and reporting. Under CFO guidance, you will handle member billing, payments, and reconciliations, and you will prepare routine management reports for committees.

Qualifications

• College Degree in related field and at least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience strongly preferred.
• Polished and professional demeanor in manner and appearance.
• Strong judgement, ability to anticipate, and multi-tasking at a high level.
• Excellent communication and member/customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; 10-Key by touch; 60–65 wpm typing.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours for Club & Member events.
• Must speak and write in English.
• Within 24 months, obtain Accounts Receivable Certification (Club paid).

Responsibilities

• Handle daily, weekly, and monthly high-volume hospitality accounts receivable functions.
• Process payments and prepare monthly and ad-hoc management reports.
• Answer Member billing inquiries; check and post A/R payment batches; handle club departmental billing.
• Process ACH reconciliations monthly; analyze G/L accounts; distribute reports and mailings.
• Create and distribute Member statements; manage postage machine and office supplies.
• Assist with other projects as needed.
