Highgate Hotels seeks a Staff Accountant to support the Director of Finance at The Newbury Boston. Based in Boston, you will manage accounts payable, assist with payroll, and help maintain timely financial reporting and internal controls.

The role requires attention to detail and ability to process daily transactions accurately and efficiently. You'll participate in month-end close, post journal entries, and coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• College coursework in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word; Opera PMS is a plus.
• Accounts Payable and Payroll experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review income and posting data to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Process AP invoices, employee payroll, and related expenses.
• Assist in monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and monitor receivables where needed.
• Maintain internal controls and support audit readiness.
• Respond to inquiries with accurate invoices, statements, and schedules.
