Job summary

Highgate is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Select Service Division. The role focuses on reconciling general ledger accounts and performing daily cash reconciliations and income journal entries across hotel assignments.

Responsibilities include month-end GL review, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and collaborating with AP/Payroll while maintaining timely auditor data requests. Hospitality industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Accounting required.
• Strong PC skills including Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Hospitality and hotel specific experience preferred.
• BlackLine experience strongly preferred.
• A/R experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts for assigned hotels.
• Perform monthly general ledger review for each property.
• Collaborate with AP and Payroll to resolve issues.
• Ensure timely communications on open items from reconciliations.
• Review and approve hotel POs with accurate GL coding.
• Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.
• Build relationships with General Managers to aid accounting/AP.
• Support external audits with data requests and reconciliations.
