Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group is seeking a Service Supervisor for the Convene 600 Hamilton location in Washington, DC. You will lead the hospitality service team, supervise setup/breakdown, coordinate culinary service, and ensure high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Hospitality or related field (preferred) and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a conference center or similar setting. Competitive hourly rate with bonus eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ progressive experience in a conference center or related field.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of service standards and service types.
• Knowledge of health department rules and liquor laws and regulations.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise setup, execution, and breakdown of programming, ensuring adherence to the Program Execution Order.
• Supervise service team and support staff including setup, utilities, maintenance, and security.
• Coordinate culinary service between culinary and service teams.
• Monitor inventory and maintain accurate counts.
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct ongoing training of service specialists.
• Oversee opening/closing inspection duties and maintain cleanliness of service areas.
