Job summary

Hotel Salem is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will be the face of our dining experiences, guiding guests through our menus and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include table management, beverage and meal service, up-selling, room service, and taking care of guests from start to finish. TIPs training and excellent hospitality skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a restaurant or hotel server preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages in Massachusetts.
• TIPs certification (or willingness to complete training upon hire).
• Excellent communication, cash handling, POS proficiency, and strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service & Table Management: deliver attentive service and manage tables.
• Beverage & Meal Service: take orders, input into POS, and serve items.
• Service Execution: ensure prompt delivery of orders and guest satisfaction.
• Ongoing Guest Care: check in, suggest desserts, and deliver checks.
• Up-selling & Product Knowledge: know the menu, pricing, and daily specials to increase check averages.
• Room Service & Take-Out: prepare and deliver orders as requested.
