Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a devoted Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for guests and associates in our Austin properties. You will patrol hotel grounds, monitor security systems, and document events with clear, detailed reports.

Ideal candidates have security or customer service experience, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire), and the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to write clear incident reports.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify safety risks or security breaches.
• Monitor and document activity from security cameras; report unusual conditions.
• Control access to associate entrances; issue visitor passes and safeguard hotel keys.
• Respond to incidents including theft, property damage, unlawful entry, or guest disturbances with written reports.
• Assist with lost and found, secure property, and maintain detailed logs.
• Support emergency response efforts including fire, medical, severe weather, or evacuation procedures.
• Generate associate ID cards and assist with security-related administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to ensure a safe and positive guest experience.
