Job summary

Chicago Marriott Northwest is seeking a motivated Assistant Director of Sales to support the Director of Sales in developing and executing the hotel's sales strategy. This position will assist with generating new business, managing key accounts, building client relationships, and achieving hotel revenue goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong hotel sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal hotel departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
• 2–4 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, group, leisure and meeting/event sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales/CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies.
• Support the sales team to achieve revenue, occupancy, and market-share goals.
• Generate new business through corporate accounts, group business, meetings, events, and leisure.
• Conduct sales calls, client meetings, tours, presentations, and networking.
• Maintain relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, travel agencies, and local businesses.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and client communications.
• Follow up on leads and convert opportunities.
• Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Events, and Operations to ensure client experiences.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows and events.
• Maintain records in CRM systems.
• Ensure sales activities follow Marriott standards.
