Job summary

The Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Roanoke is seeking a proactive Sales Coordinator to support the sales team, greet visitors, process inquiries, and help coordinate group bookings and meetings. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and collaboration with departments to create memorable guest experiences.

The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment while supporting RFP responses, contracts, and meeting arrangements.

Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Hotel and sales experience a plus.
• Ability to cultivate a productive team that embodies PEACH.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities are constantly changing.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer calls, process leads, handle reservations, and maintain files.
• Qualify group and business travel customers via email, phone, and in person.
• Communicate room block status, enter rooming lists, monitor pick-up, and manage changes.
• Assist with RFPs, proposals, contracts, BEOs, and meeting arrangements.
• Support Director of Sales with reservation requests and group master account creation.
• Manage group files and ensure signed agreements are uploaded.
• Maintain inventory and create printed/electronic collateral (coupons, flyers, marketing pieces).
• Participate in Sales Department and cross-department meetings.
• Serve as the point of contact for meeting room setup and assist with catering and breakfast requests.
