Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn Birchstreet.
• Ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to learn Birchstreet and related procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Purchasing Director with sourcing and procuring of goods and services required by the hotel, including food and beverage items.
• Evaluate, select and build relationships with suppliers, and monitor their performance.
• Implement inventory management and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Work closely with department heads to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of requested items.
• Receive and ensure all purchased goods meet the hotel's high-quality standards and specifications.
• Oversee the storeroom and daily requisitions; check-in and put away deliveries; complete daily tasks.
• Lead hotel receiving of products and internal/guest packages, including shipping and delivering to departments; manage invoices and packing information electronically.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Purchasing Director on additional tasks as required.
