Job summary

Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol is seeking a Receiving Clerk responsible for checking in incoming products and guest packages, shipping, and coordinating daily storeroom operations. You will work closely with the Assistant Purchasing Director to source items for the hotel and ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.

The role requires basic computer skills (Word/Excel), the ability to learn Birchstreet, and strong organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English.
  • Must be organized, administrative and have problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Assistant Purchasing Director with sourcing and procurement of goods and services for the hotel.
  • Evaluate, select and maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor performance.
  • Implement inventory management best practices and conduct audits.
  • Coordinate with department heads to meet their item requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Receive and ensure goods meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Oversee storeroom operations and daily requisitions, including shipping and handling of packages.
  • Lead hotel receiving of products and packages, and manage invoicing and packing data electronically.

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for checking in all incoming product and guest packages. This person is also responsible for shipping packages and in house needs.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.50/hr

Responsibilities
  • Support the Assistant Purchasing Director with sourcing and procuring of goods and services required by the hotel, including food and beverage items.
  • Evaluate, select and create strong relationships with suppliers, and monitor their performance.
  • Implement inventory management best practices and conduct regular inventory audits.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand their specific requirements and ensure timely delivery of requested items.
  • Receive & ensure all purchased goods meet the hotel's high- quality standards and specifications.
  • Oversight of the hotel’s storeroom including working as part of a team to check-in,put away all hotel food and beverage deliveries, and efficiently complete daily requisitions.
  • Leads all hotel receiving of product, and internal and guest packages including shipping & delivering packages to the various departments throughout the hotel, and receiving invoices and packing information electronically through the hotel’s online procurement system.
  • Work with Assistant Purchasing Director to complete additional tasks as required.

This person must have a positive, can-do, and helpful attitude. They should be comfortable multi-tasking, working under tight deadlines and interacting with a variety of constituents including senior leadership, fellow team members, guests and delivery personnel.

Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge that includes word and excel, and competency to learn Birchstreet are a requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must have organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (up to 75 pounds)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move moderate distances
