Job summary

The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, CA seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee storeroom operations, inventory control, and product issuance in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will supervise stock rotation, verify deliveries against PO, participate in month-end inventories, and support the Purchasing Clerk as needed. Strong English, basic math and computer skills are essential, with Birchstreet or hotel purchasing experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food, beverage, engineering, and printing products.
• Basic math and computer skills to track deliveries.
• Fluent English reading/writing for forms, invoices, and communications.
• Birchstreet experience is a plus; hotel purchasing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the storeroom, proper storage and rotation of all stock so that all food items are fresh.
• Supervise the issuing of products to the departments. Verify quantities and products. Ensure proper requisition and approval processes are followed.
• Check each item received against applicable purchase orders and other hotel documents, weighing/counting/verifying prices against specifications.
• Supervise and participate in monthly and year-end inventories.
• Supervise general and food and beverage storeroom and receiving areas.
