Job summary

Cape Fox Lodge in Ketchikan, AK is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. You will support the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experience and efficient front office and housekeeping.

The ideal candidate has hospitality leadership experience, can balance guest service with team coaching, and manage staff schedules, payroll, and budget compliance. This exempt role requires long hours, on-call availability, and a commitment to Cape Fox

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Front Office Supervisor experience in hotel industry.
• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Experience managing laundry department.
• Experience in food and beverage department.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain minimum standards for the Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
• Hire, train and supervise, and evaluate front office and housekeeping staff, including managing the Housekeeping Manager.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs and follow up to ensure issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Serve as Acting General Manager and assume General Manager responsibilities in his or her absence.
• Coordinate communication between departments to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
