Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP invites applications for the Summer 2027 Operations Internship in Los Angeles. The program starts in June and offers rotation through multiple departments within our hotels, giving hands-on exposure to hospitality operations and guest service.

This onsite internship requires pursuing a bachelor's degree and emphasizes communication, multitasking, and initiative. Candidates should be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and reside in the internship city

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel/Hospitality Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• We are looking for individuals who possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• This role has direct involvement with both management and employees and strong communication skills are required.
• Applicants must also have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have the confidence to provide feedback to management and have strong follow through.
• This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
• This is a fully onsite internship. Candidates must reside in the internship city for the duration of the program and be available to work onsite as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests in a attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including the uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
• Cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
