Job summary

Kolter Hospitality is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the GM in delivering exceptional guest service and smooth hotel operations. The role encompasses overseeing maintenance, asset protection, guest services and HR functions to drive profitability and standards compliance.

You will lead staffing, training, and scheduling while ensuring safety and budget adherence across departments, partnering with housekeeping and engineering as needed.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of relevant hotel industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting and budgeting.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, asset protection, guest service, and operations.
• Assist GM with managing property to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Hire, train and develop team members; coach and discipline as needed.
• Ensure brand standards, scheduling, payroll, and compliance with policy.
• Collaborate with housekeeping/engineering for room blocks and safety.
• Monitor guest service scores and drive improvements; resolve issues tactfully.
