Job summary

Serendipity Labs is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support marketing, community, and day-to-day lab operations in our Madison location. You will assist with events, member experience, and ensuring smooth lab operations, including onboarding and onboarding-related tasks.

The role emphasizes hospitality-driven teamwork, strong customer service, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and initiative.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of team leadership in hospitality or retail.
• Strong customer service orientation with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead, delegate and hold team accountable.

Responsibilities

• Lead artist partnerships and plan two Lab Member events monthly.
• Partner with outside organizations to host 2–6 partnered events monthly.
• Contribute lab social content and newsletters; provide lab tours when GM unavailable.
• Staff reception during lab hours; be visible and proactive in assisting.
• Resolve member issues and escalate as needed; IT troubleshooting and basic support.
• Ensure opening/closing checklists are completed; manage monthly invoicing and AR follow-up.
• Manage stock levels and ordering of consumables within budget targets.
• Create and maintain complete Member profiles in the management system; onboarding.
• Oversee and ensure labs are well presented; ensure systems function correctly.
