Job summary

citizenM Boston is hiring for a vibrant night-owl role to greet guests, multitask across hospitality duties, and deliver exceptional service from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. You’ll be a night ambassador, handling check-ins, concierge duties, coffee and breakfast service, and city recommendations with a smile.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter.
• Assist guests at self check-in kiosks (no reception desk).
• Ensure kitchen area is clean, prepare and serve meals and beverages.
• Brew coffee or mix signature drinks for guests.
• Act as a local concierge, advising on city highlights and activities.
• Maintain lounge and dining areas and prep for shift changes.
• Handle guest requests and operate PMS for reservations.
• Support night operations and safeguard guest security.

What others do by day, you do best by night (including perfect cappuccinos at 3:00 am). You want to greet the whole world, one person at a time - even when they're sleepy.

We won’t put you in a box as a ‘receptionist’ or ‘food and beverage’ person. With us, you’ll become a champion multitasker – customer service, receptionist, concierge, barista, mixologist, problem solver and more. You will be a citizenM night ambassador, free to be yourself to do the best job you can. We believe in making work fun. If you’re having a great experience, so will our guests.

We are looking for great personalities to join our Boston team!

Typical shift could include:

• Making sure everyone gets a warm welcome as soon as they walk in;
• Helping guests at the self check-in kiosks (we have no reception desk);
• Being a kitchen hero - cleaning, preparing and serving hot and cold breakfast and meals;
• Brewing delicious coffee or mixing a signature cocktail;
• Being a secret concierge to the city, answering guests’ questions about the best places to visit, eat, shop or party;
• Maintaining the living room and cleaning canteenM, and arranging food displays for the following shift;
• Helping our guests with any requests or demands regarding our facilities (you may even get some new tech skills);
• Handling reservations in our property management system (PMS)
• Holding the keys to the castle; responsible for operations during the night shifts;
• Taking care of our guests including in emergency situations.
