Job summary

Canopy by Hilton Memphis Downtown Beale Street is seeking a friendly Hotel Maintenance Technician to help keep guest rooms, facilities, and the property safe and well‑maintained. You will perform general repairs, HVAC maintenance, and preventative maintenance while delivering a five‑star guest experience.

You’ll work with a TEAM, handle work orders, troubleshoot basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and PTAC systems, and support housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Familiarity with basic HVAC, plumbing, drywall, PTAC units, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent English communication skills; able to read, write, and speak fluently
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing 50–100 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a TEAM
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest room work orders and service calls
• Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and PTAC systems
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of guest rooms and hotel facilities
• Maintain the building exterior, common areas, and equipment
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and safety concerns as needed
• Assist the Housekeeping TEAM with maintenance-related needs
• Complete work orders and communicate any issues requiring additional attention
• Follow all hotel safety standards and procedures
