Job summary

Hampton Inn San Jose Cherry Ave in San Jose, CA is seeking a friendly Maintenance Technician/Maintenance Engineer to perform general repairs, HVAC maintenance, and daily preventive maintenance for guest rooms. This is a part-time role with opportunities for advancement within the TEAM.

You will troubleshoot issues, maintain the building exterior, handle work orders, and support housekeeping as needed. Strong English communication and physical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a brand or luxury hotel environment is ideal, but willingness to train the right hospitality professional.
• Familiar with basic HVAC, plumbing, drywall PTAC units and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
• Must be able to lift and move objects 50 lbs up to 100 lbs.
• Schedule flexibility including weekends and holidays.
• Work independently and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Maintain building exterior and respond to work orders and service calls to guest rooms in a timely manner.
