Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a diligent Hotel Engineer to maintain and repair the property's mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and building infrastructure including FF&E, grounds, pool, and related facilities. The role supports a 24/7 operation at the Pompano Beach property.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot malfunctions, perform routine maintenance, and follow safety procedures, ensuring a safe, neat, and well-kept hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hotel systems.
• Ability to follow safety and security procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains the hotel pool and grounds, including chemicals and filters.
• Repairs and maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor; follows safety procedures.
