Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance at our Sacramento-area property. The role focuses on keeping the hotel in top condition while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include inspections, electrical/plumbing tasks, furniture repair, audiovisual work, and record-keeping to meet quality standards. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma with trade training preferred in related field.
Prior engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
Familiarity with safety and building codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
Paint designated areas and items.
Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
Repair furniture and fixtures as needed.
Install, replace and program televisions.
Perform minor plumbing functions.
Maintain heating/cooling equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
Trace and repair water lines.
Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
Comply with local, state and Federal codes.
Enhance guest satisfaction and assist during peak periods.
Follow service recovery guidelines and wear safety gear.
