Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Metairie, LA seeks an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations, uphold brand standards, and ensure premier guest experiences. You will manage budgets, inventory, staff development, and local marketing efforts to drive profit and growth.

The role requires extensive experience in upscale, high-volume settings, with strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading a high-volume upscale concept restaurant.
• Wine knowledge required; sommelier preferred.
• ServSafe Food & Alcohol certification preferred.
• Some culinary experience or training a plus.
• Formal business education or restaurant management degree a plus.
• Above average computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all activities throughout the restaurant.
• Lead by example and uphold brand standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and respond to guest needs promptly.
• Manage budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Hire, train, and develop restaurant personnel.
• Oversee daily operations and staffing based on projected volume.
• Communicate with management and corporate staff on operational issues.
• Monitor par levels, inventory, and vendor relations.
• Develop and execute local marketing and public relations efforts.
