Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Director for the Grand Canyon South Rim. You will supervise HR functions including onboarding, housing, benefits, and the community recreation center, ensuring a positive employee experience.

The role requires five years of HR management in hospitality or park operations, with certification preferred. You will partner with an international workforce, manage housing benefits, and lead strategic HR initiatives across the park

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of progressive human resources management experience, preferably in a National Park operation.
• Professional HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
• In-depth knowledge of HR compliance policies and FLSA regulations.
• Strong relationships and communication skills; effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to convey ideas to diverse audiences and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Learning & Development Manager, Housing Manager, Community Recreation Center Manager and Human Resources Manager.
• Oversee onboarding, compliance training programs and departmental trainings in partnership with the corporate L&D team.
• Oversee employee housing processes, arrivals, concerns and exits ensuring company standards.
• Assist in complex employee relations issues and resolve conflicts.
• Collaborate to ensure recruitment, onboarding, HRIS change management, benefits administration and compliance.
